The cabinet contains a board with a mechanical key control system - mechanical slots for key chain pairs, which ensure blockade of one key chain while the responsible person has the other one. Basic key chains are made in a single colour, whereas their pairs, i.e. the identification key chains, can be ordered in various colours, and both are numbered (in this way it is possible to mark services or rooms by colours, as well as make specified people responsible for specified numbers). 

A key with a key chain can only be taken by inserting its corresponding identific­ation key chain, and thus it is always evident who has the key.
